- DOBBS, Laura Agnes - At North Bay General Hospital, Scollard Site, Sunday, June 25, 1995, in her 80th year. Laura Dobbs (nee McConnell), beloved wife of Leonard P. Dobbs, Golden Valley. Dear mother of Sheila Mannella, Sault Ste. Marie; Bryon Dobbs (wife Irene), Powassan; Murray Dobbs (wife Ann), Golden Valley; Pauline Beatty (husband John), Nipissing; Paul Dobbs (wife Donna), Arnstein, and Rhonda Burnett (husband Jamie), Callander.
Predeceased by her son Stewart Dobbs and son-in-law Frank Mannella. Lovingly remembered by 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Ida Howe, Corbeil; Milton McConnell, Trout Creek; Vera Dobbs, Trout Creek; Myrtle Ransom, Parry Sound; Merville McConnell, Powassan; Clarence McConnell, Corbeil. Predeceased by sisters Bernice McConnell and Edith Lamb, and brothers Alex, Harvey and Melville McConnell. Family will receive friends at St. Paul's United Church, Golden Valley on Tuesday, June 27, 1995, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service in the Church Wednesday at 3 p.m. Interment Golden Valley Cemetery. Donations to St. Paul's United Church or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation will be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements under the direction of the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan.
