- Ethel Beatty died peacefully, with family by her side, at North Bay Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. She was 95 years old.
Ethel (McConnell) was predeceased by her husband John F. Beatty. She was the beloved mother of Eileen Burns (Robert) of Powassan, John Beatty (Pauline) of Golden Valley, Velma Evers (Joe) of Lindsay, Christine Jarrett (Bill) of North Bay, Donna Culin (the late Brian Whitehead) of North Bay, Michael Beatty (Jocelyn) of Nipissing, the late Peter Beatty (the late Sue), Stephen Beatty (Karen) of North Bay, Becky Poeta of North Bay and Patti Soutar of North Bay. She was the cherished grandmother of 27, great-grandmother of 36 and great-great-grandmother of two. Ethel was the dear sister of Betty Osborne (Harvey) and Sharon Grasser (Elwood), all of Trout Creek; and was predeceased by her siblings Sylvester McConnell (the late Mae), Madeline Jones (the late Ralph), Eugene McConnell (the late Helen) and Alma Grasser (the late Melvin).
The Beatty family will receive visitors on Sunday, May 14, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan and on Monday, May 15 from 10:00 am until the time of funeral service at 11:00 am. Interment at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Restoule will follow. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to St. Brice?s Church or the Heart & Stroke Foundation are suggested.
