| Herbert George Towns Peacefully at Grandview Lodge Nursing Home in Dunnville on Saturday, December 31, 2005 in his 73rd year. Herb Towns was predeceased by his first wife June Putman (1938-1970) and his second wife Violet Hannigan (1930-1995). Longtime companion of Georgia Mark of Markham. Herb was the beloved father of Karen Douglas (Jim) of Dunnville, Cheryl Neiuwold (Don) of Fonthill and Melissa Towns of Bracebridge. Predeceaed by his son Bradley Towns (1964-1999). Papa to five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Dorothy McKeen of Fonthill, Basil Towns of Bear Valley, Mary White of Beamsville, Harold Towns of Cobourg and Orville Towns of Cambridge. Predeceased by brothers Emerson and Everett Towns. The Towns family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home in Powassan on Tuesday, January 3rd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Royal Canadian Legion Branch 415 Port Loring Tribute Service 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 4th, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Spring interment Golden Valley Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Lung Association would be greatly appreciated.
