| Mrs. Gladys Stevens GLADYS STEVENS Huntington - Mrs. Gladys Stevens, 65, mother of Harold M. Stevens of Hardwick, Vt., died Jan. 17 at her daughter's home in Huntington after a long illness. She lived in Huntington all her life. She was a member of the Essex Center Grange No. 155 and the Huntington Baptist Church. She worked for many years at the Cellucord Factory in Richmond.
She was born July 23, 1911 in Huntington, daughter of Harold and Sara Walton.
She leaves five sons; Heman Stevens of Florence, Mass., Donald of Huntington, Harold of Hardwick, George and Roger both of Richmond; three daughters: Mrs. Dortha Blish and Mrs. Paul (Rita) Bradley, both of Huntington, and Mrs. Clinton (Geraldine) Hallock of Ferrisburg; two brothers: George Walton of Huntington and Harold of Monroe, N.Y.; five sisters: Mrs. Hazel Knight of Selkirk, N.Y., Mrs. Dorothy Plank of Huntington, Mrs. Marion Benn of Rome, N.Y., Mrs. Joyce Burger of Monroe, N.Y. and Mrs. Ruth Dickie of Greenville, N.H.; twenty-two grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Jan. 19 in the Huntington Baptist Church in the lower village. The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial donation be given to the American Cancer Society care of Elinor Merle in Jericho. Interment will be in the family lot in Maplewood Cemetery.
