 | Kay Cashmore In loving memory of Kathleen “Kay” Cashmore (nee King) 96 years. Passed away peacefully at Extendicare York on Saturday, June 1st, 2024.
Beloved wife of 68 years to Lawrence “Larry” Cashmore predeceased in 2013. Loving and devoted mother of Larry (Sharon), Dale, Rand (Katie), Debra predeceased, Christine, Myles (Holly), Connie (Alex), Shelley (Terry), and Owen (Sharon). Cherished grandma of many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents George and Gertrude King, and siblings Clifford, Mary, James, and Floyd. Survived by her brothers Lloyd (Fay), Richard (Beverly), Eddie (June), and sister May (Bob). She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends,
Mom was a strong woman of faith and involved in many of her churches over the years. She was an avid reader, and an excellent seamstress and baker. She enjoyed knitting, gardening and cross word puzzles.
The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Extendicare York for taking good care of mom, especially 5th floor nurse, Rudy.
Resting at the Lougheed Funeral Home 252 Regent Street, Sudbury, on Friday, June 7th, 2024, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Funeral service in the chapel on Saturday, June 8th, 2024, at 11:30 am. Friends may gather after 10:30 am on Saturday. Burial in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
Donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated. |
