- Obituary for Phillis Cecilia Mckenna
McKENNA, Phillis Ceciali - Passed wasy peacefully , surrounded by her loving family, on Monday April 21, 2008 at her home in Powassan. She was in her 71st year. Phillis was the devoted mother of Mary Lou McKenna (Murray Burnett) of Orillia, Debbie Smith (Ed) of Powassan, Jo-Ann Corrigan (Steve) of Aurora and Nancy Waddle (Wade) of Kitchener. She was a very special G to Amanda and Michael Smith, Breanne and Shannon Corrigan and Sarah Waddle. Phillis was the dear sister of Theresa Miller of Kingston, Lyle Young of Hanmer, Mina Corcoran of Morinville, Alberta, Kalvin Young (Bev) of Powassan, Stephen Young (Gail) of Powassan, Francis Frank Young (Kathy) of Powassan, Veronica McCutcheon (Mark) of Innisfil, and Helen Armstrong (Paul) of Bracebridge. She was predeceased by her brothers Lloyd and Jim Young and is survivedby her sisters-in-law Shirley, Irene and Theresa Young. The family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Thursday, April 24, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm with prayers at 8:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 25 at 11:00am at the St. Joseph's Church, Powassan. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Powassan.
