- Life has given us a sad corner to turn when Ron Blanchard?s big heart stopped on the morning of November 26 at the QEII hospital in Grande Prairie.
He was born on July 17, 1945, and passed away on November 26, 2021, at the age of 76. He was born in Greenbush Ontario, and after he finished tech school, he journeyed out to Saskatchewan and went farming for a little while. He then went to work at BF Goodridge tire shop in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. On September 22, 1972, he married Charlotte Covlin, and they moved to Fort Nelson British Columbia. He worked at a gas plant, and they lived there for almost 50 years. They were visiting Jeff and Jodi in Grande Prairie, when Ron got sick.
Ron leaves to mourn his wife Charlotte, son Eldon (Jane), son Jeffrey (Jodi), and daughter Pam. His grandsons Antonio, Khyver, Bryce, Rhett, and his only granddaughter Ericka. He also leaves behind to mourn his sisters Helen (Garnett), Evelyn, Beth, Lillian, Bernice, and brothers John and Kenneth.
He is predeceased by his parents Eldon and Marion Blanchard, sister Shirley Blanchard, and nephews Arthur Blanchard, Stephen Blanchard and Troy Laming.
His service will take place on December 4, at the Bear Creek Funeral Home. At 10 am, there will be a public viewing, and the service at 11 am for invited guests only.
