    • Obituary for Elisa Esther Price
      passed on peacefully at the Green Home, Wednesday, October 3, 2007. Esther was born at Biggar, Saskatchewan September27, 1922. She married Gilbert Price in 1945 and they moved to B.C. in 1948. Esther worked as an Accountant for Gilbert's companies. She acquired the equivalent of a Chartered Accountant and Tax Accountant. She taught bookkeeping at night school.. She was also a professional painter and wood finisher. It was a great pleasure for her to reach 30 years of volunteer service with the Hospital Auxiliary.Esther lived her Christian life faithfully and was an example for many to follow. She and Gilbert traveled for Global Missions . She was a blessing to many in her own quiet way. Esther was proud of her large garden. Shesupplied everyone she knew with fresh vegetables all summer. She was an awesome baker and hospitality was her forte. She was always ready for a cup of tea and a chat.Esther is survived by two daughters, Joanne (Jim) Large and Cathy (Danny) Adams, Granddaughter, Brandy Adams (Fiance, Kevin Dunnebacke), Grandson, Dustin Adams, one sister, Hilda (Harry) Johnson, brother-in-law, Byron Price, sisters-in-law, Hazel Price, Vivian Atkins, Doreen Taylor, Esther Foreman, and Mary Lou Price. She was predeceased by her husband, Gilbert in February 2007, daughter Sarah, brother, Harold Baker and sisters, Charlotte Buck, Frances Bright and Anne Hout. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2007 at 2:00 p.m.in McPherson Funeral Chapel, 2200 - 2nd Street, South,Cranbrook.
