Peacefully at his residence on Monday March 31, 1986, Johnny Munro of Almonte in his 80th year. Son of the late John A. Munro and his wife, the late Elizabeth Young. Beloved husband of Jessie May Foster and dear father of Merrill of Acadia Valley, Alberta; Mildred (Mrs. Tom Handy), Eileen (Mrs. Don Andrews) of Oshawa; Leonard, Melvin and Clarence, all of Medicine Hat, Alberta. Predeceased by 2 sons, Merton and Stewart. Dear brother of Harold of Clayton, Clifford of Almonte, and Mrs. A. Stewart (Effie) of Galbraith. Predeceased by 5 brothers, Gilbert, William, Charles, Andrew and Hughie and 1 sister Mrs. Mary Powers. Also survived by 32 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Gamble & Comba Funeral Home, 127 Church St., Almonte, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, where service will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m., Rev. Jack Lougheed officiating. Interment Clayton United Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
