| William Munro WILLIAM JAMES MUNRO
The death of William James Munro occurred suddenly at his residence on Tuesday, August 28th, 1979. At the time of his death Mr. Munro, a bachelor, resided at Hotel Almonte. He was in his 72nd year. Born October 17, 1907 in Darling Township, Mr. Munro was the son of the late John A. Munro and his wife, the late Elizabeth Young, both residents of Hall's Mills. He received his education at the Hall's Mills school and attended Guthrie United Church at Clayton. He is survived by five brothers; Harold, of Clayton; Clifford and John, both of Almonte; Andrew, Perth; Hugh of Pembroke; and one sister, Effie (Mrs. Archie Stewart), of Balderson. He was predeceased by Gilbert, Charlie and Mary. Funeral services for Mr. Munro were held at the Gamble & Comba Funeral Home, 127 Church Street, Almonte, on Thursday, August 30th, 1979 at 2 p.m. Interment was at Clayton United Cemetery. Pallbearers were all nephews of the deceased; Jack Munro, Bert Munro, Gary Munro, Merv Munro, Basil Munro and James Foster. |
