- MCARTHUR, Annie - In hospital at Almonte on Monday, July 20, 1992. Annie Peacock of Almonte. Age 77 Years. Beloved wife of the late Alex McArthur. Dearly loved mother of Stuart of Hudson, Quebec; Mrs. Ann Lowe; Mrs. Bruce Pringle (Catherine Ethel); Mrs. Garry Warren (Mary) and Clare all of Ottawa; Gordon of Almonte; James of Surrey, B.C.; Diane (Mrs. Bruce Little) and Dorothy (Mrs. Peter Woods) both of Wawa. Predeceased by one daughter Linda and one son Keith. Also survived by 20 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Sister of Mrs. Ethel Donaldson, Mrs. Lena Rhodey, Wilbert, Nelson and Mrs. Muriel Wark. Predeceased by Jean, Mrs. Katie Paterson and Everett. Friends called at the C.R. Gamble Funeral Home, 127 Church Street, Almonte. Service was held in the Chapel on Friday. Interment Auld Kirk Cemetery, Almonte.
- Annie Evelyn McArthur died July 20 in the Almonte General Hospital after being ill for two months. She was 77. The Country street apartment-dweller was born Aug 12, 1914 to the late George Peacock and the late Anne Munro. She was married the late Alex S. McArthur July 11, 1936. She is survived by sons Stuart of Hudson, Que., James of Surry, B.C., Clare of Ottawa, Gordon of Almonte, daughters Anne Lowe of Ottawa, Catherine Ethel Pringle of Ottawa, Mary Warren of Ottawa, Dorothy Woods and Diane Little of Wawa. She is also survived by brothers Wilbert of Carp and Nelson of Armstrong B.C. and sisters Caroline Ethel Donaldson of Almonte, Lena Rhodey of Pakenham and Murial Wark of R.R. 1 Almonte. She was predeceased by son Keith, daughter Linda, brother Everette and sisters Katie Paterson and Jean Peacock. The funeral service was held at the Gamble Funeral Home July 24 at 2 p.m. Carson Wallace and George Poole led the service at the Gamble Funeral Home. Burial was at the Auld Kirk Cemetery. Pallbearers were Edwin McKirdy, Delmer McKirdy, Pete Munro, Harold Hogg, Alex Hazelwood and Bill Munro.
