Notes |
- MUNRO, William Carl Carl’s family, and colleagues sadly announce the passing of William Carl Munro on Thursday, February 16, 2012 while surrounded by the love of his family and friends at the age of 61. Carl was the devoted son of Wilma and the late William “Bill” Munro of Almonte. Treasured brother of Joan Anderson (Jim), Jayne Ouimet (Neil) and Nancy Munro (Fran Percy). Proud uncle of Adam and Curtis Percy. Past President of the Westboro Kiwanis Club in Ottawa, the past Lieutenant Governor for Kiwanis International for the Ottawa Valley West Area and has done extensive fund raising for the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario, The Shepherds of Good Hope, the Dave Smith Centre and St. Patrick's Home, to name just a few. He is also Director of K-Med International and a supporter of many Kiwanis International projects. Carl graduated from Humber College and represented an unparallel level of commitment to the funeral service industry. Carl devoted his life to funeral services in the Ottawa area and was truly dedicated to the families he felt so privileged to serve. For over 10 years, Carl was a corner stone of the Cole Funeral Services team who were so proud to have him in their family. We are all the better at what we do because of Carl’s dedication and influences. Family will receive friends at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre on Friday, February 24th (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa) from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral to Celebrate Carl’s Life will be held on Saturday, February 25th in the Pinecrest Chapel at 11:00 a.m. In Memory of Carl, donations to The Almonte General Hospital and The Guthrie United Cemetery, Clayton, Ontario would be appreciated. Online condolences may be made at http://www.colefuneralservices.com A well deserved rest for a true gentleman, rest peacefully good friend
