- Ruby Irene Mathews, age 91 of Arlington, Texas passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2011 in Burleson, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin L. Mathews; parents, Cloyd Francis and Mary Alice (Bohannon) Banning.
She is survived by her sons, Joe Mathews and wife Patsy of Dilley, Jerry Mathews and wife Sharla of The Woodlands, Jimmy Mathews and wife Gigi of Corpus Christi; daughters, Patricia McCarthy and husband Stanley of Mansfield, Linda Showalter and husband Johnnie of Arlington; sister, Martha Smith of Seguin; fifteen grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the Christian Faith Center in Dilley from 12pm until service time. Funeral service will be held at 2pm Sunday, October 2, 2011 at the Christian Faith Center in Dilley with interment to follow in the Dilley Cemetery.
