    • DESARMIA, Arthur Louis "Art" (Life member Branch 240, Royal Canadian Legion) In Fairview Manor, Almonte on Saturday, December 13, 2008. Art Desarmia Almonte, age 79 years Beloved husband of the late Beatrice Munro. Dear brother of Sheila Manion (Joe) of Almonte and Barry (Gay) Desarmia of Carleton Place. Predeceased by 3 brothers; Francis, William, & Patrick. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the C.R. GAMBLE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 127 Church Street, Almonte for visiting on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and where Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday at 2 pm, Rev. Fr. Pierre Champoux. Spring interment Guthrie United Cemetery, Clayton. Legion members are asked to assemble in the Chapel of the funeral home for a service on Monday evening at 6:45 p.m. Donations in memory of Art may be made at the funeral home to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation and would be appreciated. --Published on December 15, 2008
