- Margaret 'Marge" Pennock, 82, of Battle Creek, died Sunday November 23, 2003 at Battle Creek Health System. She was born in Bridgman, MI on March 19, 1921, the daughter of Henry J. and Rosella (Kraklau) Hammer. She graduated from Bridgman High School in 1938 and was employed as a Dental Assistant for Frederick Rahn, DDS, in Benton Harbor from 1938 until 1943, at which time she entered Nurses Training at Mercy College of Nursing, (Leila Division) in Detroit. Upon graduating she was employed by Paul C. Kingsley, MD for 5 years until leaving to work as a Secretary in her husband's Real Estate Office, whom she met while she was employed by Dr. Kingsley.
On October 15, 1949 she married Garner A. Pennock, who survives, along with her sons, Steven T. Pennock of Bellevue, WA, Tom A. Pennock of Battle Creek, and her brother, Paul (Becky) Hammer of Las Vegas, NV. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Ruth Anderson and Dorothy Kizer.
