- Bryant C. 'Whitie' Edgerton, Jr., of Spring Hill, died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2001 at Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville.
He was born in Stratford, Conn., and moved to this area 17 years ago from Brandywine, Md. He retired from Bell Atlantic in 1986 and was a locator in the Washington, D.C. and Maryland areas. He was a member of Lions Club, Brandywine, Telephone Pioneers, Spring Hill, and VFW Post 10209, a World War II European Theater of War U.S. Air Force veteran, and an Episcopalian by faith.
Survivors include his wife, Agnes; a son, Bryant III of Ponte Vedra, Fla.; two daughters, Debbie Thorne of Manassas, Va., and Brenda of Alexandria, Va.; three brothers, Robert and Charles, both of Lakeland, and George of Monroe, Conn.; and three granddaughters.
