Mrs. Keedie Holton ?Kitten? Garrett, 91, of Greenville, GA passed away Friday, 14 Jul 2017 at Roosevelt Place in Warm Springs, GA.
Mrs. Garrett was born 17 Oct 1925 in Houston County, AL, daughter of the late Sam and Sabie Thomley Holton. A resident of Greenville, GA since 1943, she was a former employee of the Meriwether County Board of Education and was a member of Greenville Baptist Church. She was a talented artist and was well-known for her work in calligraphy.
Survivors include her son, Sandy Garrett; former daughter-in-law, Jenny Garrett; son-in-law, Scott Atkins; grandchildren, Chris (Jessica) Garrett, Anna Kristen (Sean) Hethcox, Sarah Blair Atkins, Luke Atkins, Caitlyn Rodgers; great-grandchildren, Chase Levi Garrett and Peyton Sean Hethcox; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, E.C. ?Cotton? Garrett; daughter, Wendy Garrett Atkins; and her eight brothers and sisters.
The funeral service will be 5 p.m., Sunday, 16 Jul 2017 at Greenville Baptist Church. Rev Jonathan Porter and Rev Amy Arnold will officiate and interment will be in the Greenville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Greenville Baptist Church from 4 to 5 Sunday afternoon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Greenville Baptist Church, Roosevelt Place in Warm Springs, or Gentiva Hospice in Columbus.
