    • Former Pulaski resident, Mildred A. Cates, 85, died Friday at Port Charlotte, Florida Hospital. Mrs. Cates had lived in Pulaski before moving to Florida 20 years ago. Mrs. Cates had taught in the Douglas Central School District in the town of Richland. Her husband, Robert A., died in 1959. Surviving are a daughter, June C. Hilliker of Pulaski; a son James R. of Port Charlotte; a stepson, Gordon Cates of League City, Texas; two brothers, Roland Stock of Mexico and Donald Stock of Sandy Creek; two sisters, Grace Geglia of Red Hook and Ruth Emery of Pulaski; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services will be private. Contributions may be made to Pulaski Baptist Church. The National Cremation Society, Port Charlotte, has charge of arrangements.
