- Miramichi ? Cecil Ronald MacDonald, husband of Mercy MacDonald, of Ironman Road, Miramichi Retirement Community, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, following a lengthy illness. Born in Bayside, on September 24, 1930, he was the son of the late Archibald and Isabel (Gibson) MacDonald.
He was a plumber by trade and a retired employee of the North Bay Civic Hospital. He was Christian by Faith.
He is survived by his wife, the former Mercy Barnhart; three daughters, Beth Taylor (Elwood), of Cochrane, AB, Cecila MacDonald (Glen), of Edmonton, Alberta and Kimberly Bystrom (Steve), of Minneapolis , Minn, USA; one son, Albert MacDonald (Dawn), of Thunder Bay, Ont.; three sisters, Agnes Moore, of Saskatchewan, Rena Newbat (Ralph), of Moncton, Lillian MacCullum, of Miramichi Bay; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one grandson, Scottie Ramsen; one sister, Winnifred Williston; two brothers, Warren and Vaughn MacDonald.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 pm. Funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Thursday, September 7, 2017, at 2 pm conducted by Wayne Hutchinson and Wayne Van?Den?Drieo. Interment will be in the Bayside Cemetery, Miramichi Bay. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi.
