Left to cherish his memory is his wife Jean, daughter Deborah and granddaughter Ashley, his brothers, Edward (Vickie) and Victor; sisters, Kathy (Joe), Adeline, Rose (Ron), Barbara (David), and Liz (Lawrence) nieces, Teena, Rebecca, Quinn, Tanya, and Tiffany; nephews, Perry (Lenka), and Kenneth; great-niece Karrah and great-nephew Dylan; close friends, Tom Coutts of Red Deer, AB, Matt "of Medicine Hat", and many other friends and relatives. John will be greeted by his parents, Michael and Teenie; infant brothers, Petric and Joe; infant sister Natalie; son Robert (May 19, 2002) and brother-in-law Lawrence. John was born in Fraserwood on June 11, 1930 and left to seek his fortune in Ontario at the age of 16. He pursued his career as a steam fitter, working across Canada making acquaintances and fellow employees into long-life friends. He retired and resided in Buck Lake, AB from 1972 until 1995 when he returned to Fraserwood and Winnipeg to be with family and friends. John loved just being with his family and friends, enjoying Ukrainian music, discussing politics, cooking, hunting, woodworking and playing the violin. The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and support. At Johns request, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Those wishing, may make a donation in Johns memory to the charity of ones choice. VICHNAYA PAMYAT CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
