Waterford -- Rosalie S. Scheck, 95, of 7 Third Avenue, died Monday, Oct 18, 2004 at the Lawrence and Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Taunton, Mass. on Jan 24, 1909, the daughter of John H. and Harriet Rousseau Shea. She was the widow of Ralph R. Scheck Sr., whom she married on Nov 17, 1934 in St. Joseph Church, New London.
Mrs. Scheck was an active member of the Waterford Senior Citizens, where she enjoyed playing pinochle and singing in the choir with her many friends.
She is survived by her son, Ralph R. Scheck Jr. of Oakdale; a daughter, Susan J. Scheck of Uncasville; a sister, Alice Menghi of New London; a daughter, Una Mae Tyrell; and seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by six brothers, three sisters, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will assemble on Thursday at 10:15am at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Ocean Avenue, New London and proceed to an 11am Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul in Chains Church, Waterford. Burial will be in Jordan Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday from 4 to 7pm at the funeral home.
