    • Miss Mary L. Ayerst Passes In Toronto
      Miss Mary Lyal Ayerst, a former well know Owen Sound resident, died at Western Hospital in Toronto on Wednesday. Miss Ayerst had been semi-invalid since losing her sight many years ago.
      Miss Ayerst was born in Owen Sound, and received her education through public and high school here, and later went to Toronto where she trained as a nurse at Western Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Frederick Ayerst and Martha Blackstock Ayerst.
      Surviving are one sister Fledda of Toronto, and three brothers Allan of Edmonton, and Charles and William of Amherstburg.
      Miss Ayerst was a member of Central United Church while residing in Owen Sound, and was an active church worker when her health permitted.
      Interment will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound on Saturday.
