POWASSAN Rev. J. Greenan will conduct the funeral mass Monday, 11 a.m. at Ste. Joseph's Church for Edwin Joseph Rich, 15, who died Thursday when he was struck by a car as he walked near his home.
Friends may pay their respects at Paul Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Saturday.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rich of Route 4, Powassan, Edwin was born at Powassan, March 13, 1959. He was a Grade 10 student at Almaguin Highland Secondary School, where he was a member of the wrestling team. His favorite sport was hockey, which he watched and played often.
Edwin is survived by his parents; four brothers, Stephen, Calvin, Gordon and Peter; and three sisters, Elizabeth Ann, Catherine and Mary Ann.

Powassan teen-ager killed by automobile
POWASSAN (Staff)— A IS-year-old Powassan boy was struck and killed by a ear Thursday night as he walked near his home.
Dead is Edwin Joseph Rich son Mr. and Mrs. Carl Rich of Lot 13 Cone 13 Powassan.
Police said the boy was walking on the concession road near his home about three quarters of a mile east of Powassan at 9:45.
The boy was eastbound when he was struck by a westbound car driven by George Rausch of Pringle Township, Commanda.
Coroner is Dr. A. O. Aiyede of Powassan. Const. Robert Vandal of the Powassan OPP Detachment la conducting the investigation.
