- Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital on July 19, 2007. Helen Veley Jones of R.R. 2 Addison in her 86th year. Dear mother of Norman Jones of Campbellford and May Curran and her husband Ranald of R.R. 2 Addison. Lovng grandmother to Michael (Cheslyn), Sandy Jones, Cathy Moss (Brian) and Desarae Jones. Also survived by four great grandchildren. Fondly remembered by her sister-in-law Snooky as well as a sister Marjorie Frood. Predeceased by sisters Louine Veley, Florie (Tootsie) Bakker, Elizabeth Veley, Maggie Deano and Florence Ransom; as well as brothers Leon, Earl, John, Clarence and Charles Veley and on granddaughter Cindy Jones Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service was held at Greenbank Cemetery on July 20th. In memoriams to the Canadian Diabetes Society or the Athens Medical Clinic Building Fund will be gratefully acknowledged. Arrangements are entrusted with the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville.
