- George A. Price, 73, of 112 Woodlawn Avenue, died at 5:30 a.m. Sunday, February 13, 1955 at his home after an illness of several months.
Surviving are his wife, one son, George Price, 136 Russell Road; a brother, Walter Price, Potsdam; two sisters, Mrs. Michael (Dora) Jerome, Potsdam and Mrs. Laura Bice, Ogdensburg, and two grandchildren.
Mr. Price was born November 5, 1881 in Berwick, Ontario the son of Arthur and Catherine Ouderkirk Price. He received his early education in Berwick and moved to Potsdam with his parents when a boy of 12.
On September 9, 1910 he and Neda LaPointe were married in Potsdam. He worked as a carpenter and millwright in Potsdam and Pyrites and on April 1, 1914 became employed by the Massena Works of Alcoa, working there until his retirement nine years ago. He was a member of Alcoa's 25-Year Club and of St. Mary's Church.
