    • HARVEY M. SCOTT CALLED BY DEATH
      Long Illness Is Fatal to Meter Inspector and Former Crier For Supreme Court
      Harvey M. Scott, 54 years old, Inspector of meters for the West Virginia Water and Electric company, and widely known in Charleston, died at 6:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon illness of several months.
      Mr. Scott, a native of Parkersburg, came to Charleston in 1884. He was one of the first employees of the West Virginia Water and Electric company. A few years later he went into the electrical contracting business, and then became connected with the West Virginia public service commission as state meter inspector. For many years ho was crier for the supreme court.
      Besides his widow, Mr. Scott is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Robert B. Allen of Los Angeles, and Miss Elizabeth Scott of Charleston, and a sister, Miss Ida Scott of South Hills. Mrs. Allen was on her way here for a visit at the time of her father's death.
      Mr. Scott was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Billy Sunday Men's club, the Elks lodge, and the Knights of Pythias.
      Funeral arrangements are held up pending the arrival of Mrs. Allen.

      Funeral services for Harvey M. Scott, who died Friday afternoon, will be held at his residence Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Services will be under charge of Rev. Ernest Thompson, and Rev. Albert Slayton. Burial will be made at Spring Hill cemetery.
