- Elizabeth Ann Jerome, age 80 of Potsdam, NY passed away on Thursday, May 18th at St. Joseph?s Nursing Home in Ogdensburg, NY. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, May 23rd at 11am at St. Mary?s Church with Rev. Stephen Rocker celebrant. Burial will follow the service at Bayside Cemetery in Potsdam, NY. Friends may call at the Garner Funeral Service on Monday May 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9. Contributions in her memory can be made to the American Cancer Society 6725 P.O. Box 7 East Syracuse, NY 13057 or the Alzheimer?s Association 441 West Kirkpatrick St. Syracuse, NY 13057. On line condolences can be sent to www.garnerfh.com. Liz is survived by her sister Hilda Keleher; her brother George (Isabelle) Jerome and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, her brothers Bill, Michael and Mervin Jerome and his sisters Marion Haywood and Alberta Hoyt. Liz was born February 1, 1937 in Potsdam, New York to Ernest (Mike) Jerome and Dora Price. She was a 1955 graduate of Potsdam Central School. She went to airlines stewardess school in Plattsburg, NY. She then worked for 53 years in the cafeteria at the Canton Potsdam Hospital retiring in 2010. She was an avid bowler, played softball and loved the New York Yankees especially Derek Jeter and Bernie Williams. She bowled all over and enjoyed traveling and vacations. Liz?s family would like to thank the nurses on first floor at St. Joseph?s Nursing Home in Ogdensburg also Missy from Hospice who loved her very much.
