- James M. Canavan, a retired investment broker here, died Friday (Dec. 3, 1993) at Bethesda-Dilworth Memorial Home in Oakland after suffering a heart attack. He was 90.
Mr. Canavan, formerly of Webster Groves, was a partner for many years with Smith Moore & Co. investment brokers before he retired in the late 1970s.
He was born in Allegheny, Pa. He earned a law degree in 1925 from Washington University School of Law.
A memorial service will be held at noon Tuesday at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 9 South Bompart Avenue in Webster Groves. His body will be cremated.
