    • Funeral services for Arthur H Steenberg, 73, of Winthrop Road, Massena, will be held Sunday at 2 pm at Phillips Memorial Home in Massena with Lance Dallaire officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Norfolk.
      Friends may call this afternoon and evening at the memorial home.
      Mr. Steenberg died Wednesday, June 9, 1993 in Johnson City, Tenn.
      He is survived by his wife, Barbara; two sons, Wayne of Johnson City, Tenn., and Danny of North Lawrence; three daughters, Marleen Steenberg of Johnson City, Tenn., Mrs Timohty (Kathy) Gardener of Massena and Connie Brouse of Massena; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Viola Burnap of South Butler, NY, Arlene Wood and Sylvia Quenneville, both of Massena; one brother, Harlie Steenberg of Carlsbad, Calif.; and three step-brothers, Paul and Gilbert Collins, both of Massena, and Donald Collins of Paul Smiths.
      He was predeceased by a sister, Isab elle Douglas Smith and his step-mother, Aletha Hackett Collins Steenberg.
      Mr. Steenberg was born on April 25, 1920 in Stockholm, the son of Harlie and Martha (Price) Steenberg. He attended local schools and served in the army during World War II. He married Barbara Collins on Jan. 1, 1947 in Massena with Rev. Walter Page officiating.
      He worked for Alcoa, retiring in Jan. 1983 after 39 years of service as a forklift operator. After retirement, he spent winters in Bushnell, Fla. and tghe remainder of the year in Tennesee and Massena.
      Contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
