- NORWOOD -- Graveside services for World War II Veteran Osroe (Lee) Charity, 91, who passed away March 20, 2020, will be held Tuesday (July 13th) at 11 a.m. at St Mary?s Cemetery, Ogdensburg, NY.
Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira.
Lee was born April 12, 1928, in Piercefield, NY the son of the late Than and Blanche (Night) Charity. He attended Norwood Norfolk High School. On January 24, 1946, Lee enlisted into the United States Navy. During his military career he was awarded the WWII Victory Medal.
He united into marriage with Caroline McClure on July 13, 1984, she predeceased him July of 2017.
Lee was retired from the buildings and grounds department of Corning Glass.
Treasured memories will be forever in the hearts of his sons Lee ?Sonny? (Laurie) Charity, Joseph (Sheryle) Charity both of Illinois, Mark (Karen) Decare of Norfolk and a daughter Amber Willard and her companion John Simmons of Norwood. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Besides his parents and wife Caroline a daughter during her infancy Margaret Ann, a granddaughter Kaitlin Ann Charity, a brother Bruce Charity and a sister Joyce Emlaw predecease him.
