Notes |
- Alice Price, 91, of Charlotte, NC, formerly of Manahawkin, NJ, died peacefully on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at her home at Brookdale Place in South Charlotte, NC. She was born to William and Hattie Pepper in Syracuse NY, on August 23, 1924. During WW2 Alice worked at L.C. Smith and later at New England Medical Center in Boston, MA. Alice loved her husband, family, friends, and a good party. She loved to play bridge, especially with the "Golden Girls" in Freehold, NJ, where she was also a member of the Molly Pitcher Women's Club. She traveled to Paris and London and loved to read, bake pies, decorate, and to get dressed up her mink coat! She is predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Floyd (Doc) Price, her son Edward Price. She is survived by her daughters; Judith (Jack) Tracy, Charlotte, NC, Lorraine (Petr) Kuzma, Princeton, NJ, Michelle (Todd) Tuttle, Charlotte, NC; daughter-in-law Marion (Edward) Price, Manahawkin, NJ; grandchildren, Carl Alexander, Tracy, CA, Alouette Alexander, Duxbury, MA, and Christopher Morgan, Charlotte, NC; and her sister Emma Tinkham, Scotia, NY. She also leaves great-grandchildren Tyler and Macy, Duxbury, MA. There will be a celebration of her life and prayer service in New Jersey for immediate family at a later date. We would like to thank the staff at Brookdale Place for the kindness and wonderful care given to our mother over the last four years. Anyone desiring to make a donation in her name are invited to donate to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
