| Thomas Schober Thomas E. Schober Sr., of Locust Lane, Nazareth, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2008 in Westminster Village, Allentown. He was the husband of Ida S. (Spatts) Schober since Sept. 24, 1983. Born in New York City, he was a son of the late Charles William and Sarah A. (Kelly) Schober. Thomas worked as an engineer for E.I. Associates Co., East Orange, N.J., for more than 20 years retiring in 1990. Previously, he worked in the same capacity for Curtiss-Wright Co., Paterson, N.J.; Teterboro, N.J. and in Pennsylvania. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Bethlehem. Thomas was a former member, deacon, trustee and elder of First Presbyterian Church, Caldwell, N.J. He was a graduate of Stevens Institute, Hoboken, N.J., and a member of the Alumni Association. He was a volunteer for R.S.V.P., Lehigh Valley and a member of the Morris Canal Historical Society in New Jersey. Survivors: Wife; daughters, Nancy S., wife of Daniel Fitzgerald, of Royersford, Pa., Linda, wife of Larry Best, of Morristown, N.J., Linda Moody of Hackettstown, N.J.; sons, Peter C. and his wife, Caroline and Thomas E. Jr., all in Vermont, David and his wife, Janice Planten of Adana Air Force Base, Turkey; 10 grandchildren. Services: memorial, 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, First Presbyterian Church Chapel, 2344 Center Street, Bethlehem, 18017. Entombment, church columnbarium. |
