Mrs. Norma L. Eichenberg, 86, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Feb. 11, 2013 at her home. She was born Sept. 24, 1926 in Sparta, Mich. to Edgar ?Jack? and Florence (Norwood) Overla. Norma had been employed by Gerber Products Company, Wolverine Worldwide Shoe Company in Big Rapids, as well as being a part-owner and bookkeeper for Eichenberg Excavating. She was also a member of Aetna Calvary Church. On July 7, 1948 she married Howard Eichenberg and he preceded her in death Sept. 2, 1993.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Randy ?Sam? Eichenberg Feb. 24, 1998; by her brothers, Gerald and Clem Overla; and by her sisters, Frances Harrington and Geraldine Overla. Survivors include two children, Marlene (Randy) Maynard of Hesperia and Gary (Kathy) Eichenberg of Hesperia; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Larry (Marge) Overla of White Cloud; sisters-in-law, Gloria Overla of Howard City, Beth Eichenberg of Flushing, Mich.; and by her brother-in-law, Roger (Maxine) Eichenberg of Barryton, Mich.
The Funeral Service will be Friday morning, Feb. 15 at Aetna Calvary Church with Pastor Phil Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Spring at East Hesperia Cemetery.
