| Mack Sherman Mack Sherman, 67 839 N. 12th Street, a motorcycle stunt rider who thrilled old and young alike at the Elwood Fourth of July celebration for the past several years, died at the Veterans Administration hospital in Indianapolis Sunday. Mack was best known in this area for crashing his motorcycle through a flaming board wall. His funeral will be held Wednesday at 10 A.M. at the Dunnichay funeral home. Friends may call after 7 P.M. today |
| Mack Sherman Wilson Mack Sherman 67, 839 N. 12th St. died Sunday at the Veterans Hospital, Indianapolis after an illness of several months.
Born in Logansport May 5, 1908 he was the son of Wilson and Ella Sherman.
He was a veteran of WWII.
Sherman was a professional motorcycle stunt rider and traditionally rode in the Elwood Fourth of July celebration events.
Survivors include three sons, Ira Wilson Sherman, Mack Ward Sherman, and Mackie Allen Sherman of Elwood; two daughters Mrs. Viola Jane Auler of Kokomo, and Isabel Reynolds of Elwood; two brothers Harold and Theodore of Elwood; two sisters Mrs. Fern Wilkerson and Mrs. Lilly Russell of Elwood; 12 grand children and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at the Dunnichay Funeral home Wednesday at 10 A.M. with the Rev. Perry Mattern. Burial will be in Kokomo.
