- Jean Hird Ivall, daughter of the late Lawrence Hird and Geraldine Knight (Thurso, Que), daughter-in-law of the late Robert and Hilda Ivall (Buckingham) passed away on March 3rd, 2013 at 87 years of age. Loving wife of the late Lloyd Ivall, mother of Kathleen (Tom Downing) and Dave (Brenda Baker). Grandmother of Jeffrey, Jared, Blake, Christopher and Devin. Survived by her brother Lawrence (Mary), brother-in-law Norman Ivall, sister-in-law Grace Kemp and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends are invited to visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry 1200 Ogilvie Rd (at Aviation Parkway) on Friday March 8th from 7-9pm and on Saturday from 11am until the time of service at 1pm in the chapel. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Thurso Protestant Cemetery, the Ottawa Heart Institute, CHEO, or a charity of your choice.
