- John Pennock of Agoura Hills, CA, beloved husband and father died Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at West Hills Hospital. He was born in Battle Creek, MI to Nellie (Corteway) Pennock and Basil Pennock on July 2, 1931. John married Vivian Presley on February 14, 1959 and she survives. Also surviving are sisters, Barbara Harness of Jackson, MI, Arlis Mellor and Julia (Tom) Williams of Battle Creek; daughters, Carolyn Pennock of Pomona, CA and Janine Pennock of Granada, CA; brother-in-law John (wife Sandra) Presley and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. John received his Electrical Engineering Degree from Michigan Technological University and served in the Army at the Marshall Space Center in Huntsville, AL. He retired from Rocketdyne after 35 years, serving them in Alabama, White Sands Proving Grounds, NM and Canoga Park, CA. Funeral service and interment will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills on Tuesday February 3, 2004 at 12:30 p.m. Visitation on Monday 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a contribution in his memory, may do so to the USC Norris Cancer Center, 1441 Eastlake Avenue, Room 8302, Los Angeles, CA 90089.
