 | Allan Ross Craig Allan Ross Craig, a highly respected member of this community passed away June 14 at the Almonte General Hospital after a short illness. He was in his 86th year. Born at Rosetta, Ontario, March 20, 1903, he was the son of the late Adam Craig and Mary Arnott. In 1916 the family moved to the 11th line of Ramsay where he lived until 1968 when he retired from farming and moved to 170 High Street in Almonte. He was united in marriage to Annie May Reid on September 1, 1926, She predeceased him March 10, 1960. In 1962 he married Susan Edith Fleming (Lillie). In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters: Dorothy (Mrs. Lyle Reid) Pakenham; Jean (Mrs. Keith Willows) Balderson; Lois (Mrs. Graham Mowat) Nepean. There are also seven grandchildren, four step-children and several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. He was predeceased by one sister, Elsie (Mrs. J.B. Neilson). Mr. Craig was a dedicated farmer and loved his Clydesdale horses. He was quite devoted to his church where he was a member of the session for 52 years.

 | Allan Ross Craig CRAIG, Allan Ross In hospital, Almonte, Ontario, on Tuesday, June 14, 1988, in his 86th year, Allan Ross Craig, beloved husband of the late Annie May Reid by a first marriage and Susan Edith (Fleming) Lillie by a second marriage. Dear father of Dorothy (Mrs. Lyle Reid), R.R. 1, Pakenham, Jean (Mrs. Keith Willows), Balderson, and Lois (Mrs. Graham Mowat), Nepean. Dear grandfather of 7 grandchildren. Predeceased by 1 sister, Mrs. J. B. Neilson. Dear stepfather of James Lillie, Stewartville, Ontario; Melvin Lillie, Carp; Howard Lillie, Woodlawn and Marion (Mrs. Clarence James), Constance Bay. Also survived by 9 step-grandchildren and 15 step-great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Kerry Funeral Home, 154 Elgin Street, Almonte, for visiting on Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., thence to the Almonte United Church on Thursday at 10 a.m. for service at 12:30 p.m., Reverend Jack Lougheed officiating. Interment Auld Kirk Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
