- Edwin Lee Hardin Maple Rapids Edwin Lee Hardin, age 68, of Maple Rapids, formerly of Byron Center, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 26, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Gernith Hardin; brother, Sherman; and a son, James. He will be dearly missed by his children, Candace and Ricky Fisk, Robert Hardin, John and Connie Hardin; six grandchildren, Rachel, Courtney, Barbara, Edwin, Max, Emelya; one great grandchild, Jayden. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Drive with Rev. Egbert Boes officiating. Interment Boynton Cemetery. Relatives and friends met the family Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
