- CLINTON E. SNEARY, age 73 of Jerome, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2014, at his home.
He was born on December 31, 1940, in Saline, Michigan to Edward B. and Doris P. (Gilbert) Sneary. He married Joann R. Robinson on April 27, 1963, in Tecumseh. Clinton lived his early life in Tipton- Onsted-Tecumseh area, before moving to Jerome in 1968. He graduated from Onsted High School in 1960. He was employed at General Products in Jackson, retiring in 2006. Clinton was a founding and former member of the Somerset Fire Department since it began in 1977. He served as Assistant Chief for several years and was a Life Time member of the Somerset Fire Department. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. of Jerome, member of the Inter-Lakes Lions Club and was a Trustee of Somerset Township.
Surviving beside his wife Joann, is one son; Richard E. Sneary of Jackson, one daughter; Michelle I. (Michael) Beach of Pittsford, two grandchildren, Brandon Beach, Bradley Beach and his fiancée Braily Lee, one brother; David (Kay) Sneary of Blissfield, three sisters; Pearl Griewahn of Adrian, Sheila Baty of Summertown, Tennessee, Diana (Ted) Szczensy of Addison, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Addison, with Pastor David Luke officiating. Visitation will be from 2-8 P.M. on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted and made to the charity of the families choice.
