- Lori Banning Moon passed peacefully into her Lord?s presence on July 15, 2011, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. By her side was her beloved husband, John H. Moon, Jr. and sons, John H. Moon, III and Donovan Earl Moon, and many other family and friends. She was a mighty woman of God who she served with a glad and joyful heart. She was born June 28, 1961, in San Francisco, CA to and preceded in death by father, Earl James Banning, and mother, Joyce Fisher Banning. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, John H. Moon, Jr.; sons, John H. Moon III, Donovan E. Moon; a brother, Stephen Banning and wife Donna; a sister, Susan Banning Webster and husband David; nephew and nieces, James Banning, Tiffany Webster Purdue and husband Keith, Jessica Webster Caver and husband Ben; great-nephews, Kaleb Banning, Luke Purdue; great-nieces, Angelina Banning and Lily Purdue; father-in-law, John H. Moon, Sr. and wife Rose. Pallbearers include: Loran Mixon, Glen Harding, Wayne Pruitt, Doug Ford, Bobby Keene, Ronnie Haywood, Mark McEwen, Marshall Dickens, Jr. and Fred Dickens. Visitation will be Monday, July 18, 2011, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M., at Rosewood Funeral Home in Pasadena, TX. Funeral services will be at Life Community Church, 9529 Fairmont Pkwy., LaPorte, TX at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 19, 2011.
