- Mass of Christian Burial for Lila K. Sidwell, 73, of Cody, Wyo. was held Feb. 10 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Cody. She died Feb. 7, 2001 at her home.
Lila K. Sidwell was born Nov. 5, 1927 on the family farm near Minnewaukan to Jesse & Agnes Olson Rae. She was valedictorian of the Minnewaukan High School class of 1945 & received higher education at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn. She was employed with Benson County Farmers Press & Wolf Point Herald newspapers. In 1950 she married Michael M. Vukelich. the couple purchased Cody Enterprises in 1956 & moved to Cody, where they published the newspaper. After the sale of the enterprise in the 1970's they founded Wymont Real Estate in Cody. He died in 1976. She married Roger Sidwell in 1977 and they spent the winter months in Arizona.
She was a member of St. Anthony's Parish & served as church organist for 25 years. She was an accomplished potter & tournament-winning golfer.
Survivors include her husband of Cody; a sister & brother-in-law, Margaret & Harry Anderson of Garden City, Kans.; a brother & sister-in-law, Wesley & Betty Rae of East Towas, Mich.; a stepson, Vincent Vukelich & his wife, Liz of Inverness, Fla.; 2 sons & daughters-in-law, Joe & Chris Vukelich of Cody, Wyo. & Milo & Cheryl Vukelich of Johnstown, Iowa; 3 daughters & 2 sons-in-law, Mary & Gene Hodges of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Georgene Vukelich of Land O Lakes, Fla. & Cathy & Rob Laughner of Helena, Mont.; & 8 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; a brother, Dale Rae; & a granddaughter, Eileen Vukelich.
