  ALLEN RICE of Salado, Texas, formerly of Houston, passed away peacefully at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, California.He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Rita Mills; his daughters Emily Foley and Stephanie Caldwell and by his mother, Lula V. Rice. He is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.A memorial service was held at Salado United Methodist Church. The family requests that donations be made to Salado United Methodist Church.
