Mrs. Carlos Lay Mrs. Carlos Lay.
Mrs. Mary A. Lay, aged 80, widow of Carlos Lay, died in this city, Monday afternoon about 1.30 o'clock after an illness of about two week's duration. Mrs. Lay was born in Salem where she resided for years. She came to this city several years ago and had lived at No. 252 West Main street. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Charles Dart of Wallingford and Mrs. Harriet Crocker of New London. There is also a daughter, Mrs. Forrest Leffingwell of Leffingwell and the following grandchildren: Clarence F. Leffingwell of Groton, Miss Edith A. Leffingwell of Saxtons River, Vt., Fred A. Leffingwell of Leffingwell, Miss Gladys Leffingwell of Leffingwell and Mrs. George Sheldon of East Great Plain.
