- Alice (Carroll) Mankoski, 71, the widow of Paul Mankoski quietly passed away on Friday, July 30, 2010.
Alice was born on March 6, 1939, in Meriden to the late Robert and Edith (Miner) Carroll. Alice lived in Meriden all of her life and graduated from Meriden High School in 1956. Mrs. Mankoski worked for Corometrics of Wallingford, as a secretary before retiring in 2001.
Besides her husband of 53 years, she is survived by two daughters, Susan Mesinger and husband, Joseph, of Meriden and Barbara Nolan and her husband, Stuart, of Windsor; four grandchildren, Stacey and Laurie Wilbur of Meriden, Edward and Gary Nolan, of Windsor; one great-grandson, Jayden Michonski, of Meriden; one sister, Maryann Parmelee and her husband, David of Berlin; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her infant son, David Paul Mankoski; a brother, Richard Carroll; and a sister, Barbara Langa.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 4, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden, with a service to follow at 7 p.m. Burial will be private. Should friends desire, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
