John R. Bartman, 79, of Oviedo, Florida, husband of Elizabeth "Betty" (Human) Bartman, passed to his heavenly home on December 2, 2012 at the Lutheran Haven Nursing Home in Oviedo, Florida. John was born October 8, 1933 in Middletown, CT, the son of John and Isabell (Abbey) Bartman. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. Prior to his retirement, he was the owner of the Prospect Glass Company, where he worked as a glazier.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children and three grand children. He was predeceased by a brother and a sister.
Graveside services with military honors will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 11:00 A.M.at the Cove Cemetery in Hadlyme, CT. Those who wish may send memorial contributions in John's name to Lutheran Haven Foundation.
