- Naomi R. Babbitt, 68, a Millerton resident for many years, died Friday, March 18, at Samaritan Hospital, Troy, after a brief illness. She had worked with her husband and son at their family-owned New England Cleaners, Millerton. She was born Nov. 23, 1919, in Avon, Conn., to Lucas J. and Hazel M. Case Roosa. On Sept. 20, 1941, in Simsbury, Conn., she married Howard James Babbitt, who died in March 1982. She is survived by a son, H. James Babbitt of Millerton; two daughters, Karen Delia Rocco of Melrose and Heather Knapp of Troy; two brothers, L. John Roosa and Phelps C. Roosa, both of Simsbury, Conn.; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements were by the Valentine Funeral Home, Park Avenue, Millerton. Burial was in Irondale Cemetery, Millerton.
