- Mr. Andrew J. Moon, born on February 10, 1945 in Middletown, Connecticut, to the late Mildred Moon and the late Andrew J. Moon, passed away at age 73 on April 17, 2018 in Leland, North Carolina. Andrew served in the Army in the 196th Infantry Brigade from 1965 to 1967 in the Vietnam War. He also served in the Army National Guard from 1977 to 1980. He was in the Aircraft industry at Pratt & Whitney as a machinist until retiring in 2000. Andrew was the beloved husband of Carol Moon. He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher. Andrew is survived by his son, Brian; and grandchildren, Madison, Avery, and Connor. He leaves three brothers and five sisters and is predeceased by one brother and sister. Donations in Andrew's name to your local hospice are welcome and appreciated. Friends and family members may attend the memorial service on Saturday, June 9 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at DeAngelo's Funeral Home, 22 S. Main Street, Middletown.
