  Jacqueline M. (Duffy) Main, 79, of Pendleton Hill Road, North Stonington, died peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at the Norwichtown Rehabilitation and Nursing Home. She was the beloved wife of Ralph I. Main. Born in Montgomery, Vt., on Feb. 7, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Tellisfort and Ruth E. (Banning) Duffy. Mrs. Main had been an office administrator at Yardney, in Pawcatuck, for over 20 years before retiring. Jacqueline enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was also, an avid reader and fan of the UConn women's basketball team. Besides her husband of over 62 years, she will be sadly missed by her children, Deborah L. Proulx and her husband, Gerald, of North Stonington, and Douglas I. Main and his wife, Carol, of Linden, Vt. She was the sister of Bernard Duffy, of Hampton, Conn., and Harley Duffy, of Westerly. She was the loving grandmother of six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her daughter, Diana Lynn Walters, on Dec. 21, 2011, and her grandson. A graveside service will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Union Cemetery, Route 49, North Stonington. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St., Westerly.
