    • Mr. William Rade DeGraw Sr., 85, of 612 Cokesbury Drive died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2001, at his home.
      Mr. DeGraw was born June 9, 1916, in Haskell, N.J.
      He was a graduate of Oberlin College in 1940 and also studied at Princeton University. During his 45 years of service with the DuPont Co., Mr. DeGraw built and served as the first plant manager of the DuPont Fayetteville Works in Fayetteville and also as director of the DuPont Experimental Station in Wilming-ton, Del.
      In 1988 he and his wife of 59 years, Urana Chamberlain DeGraw, moved to Winston-Salem. Mr. DeGraw was a member of Centenary United Meth-odist Church and the Old Town Club.
      He is survived by his wife, Urana, of the home; two sons, William R. DeGraw Jr. of Lewis-ville and Martin C. DeGraw, M.D., of New Bern; a daughter, Joyce D. Forrest of Mount Ranier, Md.; two granddaughters, Jennifer S. DeGraw of Chapel Hill and Lauren A. DeGraw of Lewisville; and a grandson, William Dyland DeGraw of New Bern.
      A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Centenary United Methodist Church Chapel, with the Rev. Roland Barnhardt officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Centenary United Methodist Church, 646 W. Fifth St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
