- Joan Markley, 72, passed away January 11, 2005 peacefully at her home. She was born February 5, 1932 in Hannibal, New York. She lived in Phoenix for 56 years and graduated from Phoenix Union High School. She was widowed in 1996. Joan was very loving, articulate, artistic, and loved to dance. She loved her family very much. She is survived by 2 brothers, Johnny and David, 2 sisters, Mary Lou and Margie, 7 children, 16 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She lived life to the fullest and never gave up. Arrangements entrusted to A. L. Moore Grimshaw Bethany Chapel.
